Currently we have some projects with an International Oil Company and require contract personnel for the positions below:
Drilling Superintendent
Main Responsibilities:
• Manage drilling operations in order to maximize return on exploration expenditure
• Manage recruitment and performance of all drilling and associated personnel
• Participate and recommend selection of contractors and service companies
• Ensure all documentation for drilling approval is prepared and submitted and that drilling approval is obtained
• Manage daily activities of drilling operations in accordance with company management systems
• Monitor drilling engineering parameters to support drilling operation
• Direct drilling engineering and drilling operation problem solving
• Liaise with drilling unit, drilling contractor and government authorities
• Review and approve operational procedures and programs
• Manage cost control within limits of authority
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (preferably Petroleum Engineer)
• Having at least 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a combination of operational and business assignments
• Having 3 years of experience in onshore and offshore drilling operations with focus in supervisory and management roles
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and business skills
• Good data management skill and computer literacy
Drilling Engineer
Main Responsibilities:
• Preparing well data sheets
• Designing and selecting well-head equipment
• Drawing up drilling programmes, taking account of desired production flow rates
• Obtaining relevant data, carrying out analysis on site and recommending immediate actions as necessary
• Carrying out full engineering analyses of rig site data and preparing regular well reports
• Monitoring the daily progress of well operations and current daily costs, comparing actual costs with cost expenditure proposals and recommending changes or improvements to rig work techniques, which could lead to optimization of expenditure
• Liaising with specialist contractors and suppliers, such as cement companies or suppliers of drilling fluids
• Monitoring safety and ensuring the good maintenance of the well
• Adhering to environmental protection standards, in some cases through direct discussion with local governments to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
• Establishing and administering drilling and service contracts
• Coordinating and supervising the work of the drilling team
• Undertaking engineering design and the planning of wells (including development work)
• Designing directional well paths (horizontally or multi-laterally, as appropriate)
• Managing operations on behalf of small clients
• Contributing to conceptual field development design
• Working with multidisciplinary professionals to evaluate the commercial viability of the well and monitor progress during drilling
• Returning the site to its natural environmental setting if drilling is not to be pursued
Qualifications:
• Petroleum Engineering Degree from reputable university
• Having at least 8 years relevant experience with a combination onshore and offshore floating drilling is an advantage
• Demonstrated communication skills, technical maturity, and flexibility to adjust to changes
• Good data management and computer literacy
Drilling Supervisor
Main Responsibilities:
• Monitoring progress of the operations and the timely achievement of the objectives set
• Ensuring cost optimization and safety of the personnel and property on the rig, as well as for controlling the environmental impact of the operations
• Providing reports and maintaining documentation on all of the above
• Decide whether to abandon the rig or suspend all the operations in case of adverse weather conditions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Having at least 8 years of experience with 5 years in the Supervisory level
• Extensive knowledge in drilling techniques, systems, procedures and standards
• Having good management skill and computer literacy
• Having experience in working in adverse weather conditions
