The Joint Ventures and Planning department manages Talisman’s interest in its non-Operated assets (including Corridor PSC, Tangguh LNG, SES PSC and the TGI pipeline), along with being responsible for all internal planning activities (Annual Plan, Reforecast, economic analysis etc). In addition, the department assists other departments in delivering their objectives, including Business Development, Marketing, Finance and Corporate Affairs.

This position is a part of the Planning section of the department, although it will be closely linked to the activities of the Joint Venture section. Key responsibilities will center on the development and maintenance of economic models ensuring they are up to date and reflect an accurate view of the business, for use in the ongoing reforecast and Plan cycles and commercial evaluations.

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor as one of a team of analysts, the position will likely be designated a selection of assets to manage and would be expected to become a central resource for all analysis relating to that asset, including participation in the annual reserve cash flow process, impairment testing, performance management reporting and supporting investment proposals amongst other processes. As an accountable asset ‘owner’, the candidate would be expected to become an expert on the asset. This would be achieved via building and maintaining relationships with the partner (operator), from attending partner meetings and contacts, to gather data, synthesizing that information into existing models, fully understanding operating and capital variances, trends, and impact on asset value and effectively communicating that information upward.

As well, the position will interact with other departments within the organisation in the role of asset expert, assisting the Business Development, Finance and Marketing departments in their processes. A proactive attitude, together with being able to communicate effectively and clearly, is expected.

This senior position is seconded into one of the Talisman Joint Operated Businesses and is based at the operating station in South Sumatera. Reporting to the Field Superintendent, the Senior Production Supervisor leads the Production Operations Team and is responsible for coordinating and undertaking activities in accordance with the site plan. HSE matters are of the utmost importance, so while striving to operate in as efficient and productive a manner possible, maintaining the very high HSE standards employed at site are of the up most importance. This position requires significant oil and gas operational experience, much of which must be acquired in a senior supervisory role.

Key Responsibilities

This is a senior position suitable for a HSSE/OA professional with experience at HSE Manager/Superintendent level within the Oil and Gas Industry. The HSE Specialist shall, in conjunction with other JOB Management Team members, prepare the HSSE/OA plan for the business and oversee implementation of same. This position supervises a team of HSE professionals based in the central office and also at the site location.
